A surprisingly cheap Jamaica vacation at Blue Cave Castle on the cliff top at Negril lies in wait for your Negril Jamaica Vacation this year, if you are brave enough. It looks like something out of a fantasy movie, and perhaps that is just what it is – a fantasy.

Not many people know much about it, and to be such a good hotel without a beach on an island where the beaches reign supreme is quite an achievement. In fact when you discover how many guests return, and how high it rates amongst all the hotels in Jamaica that in itself will surprise you.

It could be just the place for you to have a dream vacation, although it is fair to warn you at this point that the Blue Cave Castle Hotel doesn’t have a pool or a restaurant, but it does have some unique swimming opportunities that make a pool totally unnecessary. There is an adjoining restaurant called ‘Teddy’s Hideaway and Eatery’, and quite honestly that’s about as far as you need to go, although there are good places to eat close by. Teddy produces class dishes such as Lobster Thermidor, as well as great breakfasts. Many of the supposed top hotels in Jamaica could do with letting him loose in their restaurant kitchens such is his skill.

One thing is absolutely clear and that is the Blue Cave Castle may give you a cheap Jamaica vacation, but you get incredible value for money whenever you go. You also get incredible views being on the top of the cliff and the Negril sunset is something you will never tire of. If you take the Penthouse Suite at the top of the Castle, or indeed climb up to the highest point the 360 degree view is astonishing.

In terms of accommodation, leaving out the Penthouse Suite, the rooms at the Castle are large, well maintained, and very clean. You can opt for air conditioning, and  televisions, but lets face it, with the thick stone walls, and the fact you are high up, who needs air conditioning, and you certainly don’t need TV on your vacation. If you have to have your electronic therapy then there is free wireless internet, also known as ‘How to spoil a perfectly good holiday!!’

Every bathroom has a really good shower head, which belts out loads of water, and a fridge, and a private outside terrace type spot.

Apart from the unique swimming concept, which is off the cliffs and into the warm Caribbean Sea, there is the famous cave itself under the castle. You can get into the water from platforms, steps cut into the rocks, or go directly down into the centre of the cave by stairway from the middle of the garden. This can be unnerving but fun, and then you swim to the mouth of the cave if you feel daring. The swimming here is absolutely terrific, and there is a reef very close by if you want to snorkel.

It’s hard to reconcile the price with what you get for your money. This very cheap Caribbean Vacation at Blue Cave Castle, also gives you the huge added benefit of great staff who create a warm friendly atmosphere, and all you need to do is ask, and it will be done. This is a well run waterfront hotel in an idyllic location and could give you the dream Negril Jamaica Vacation.
